Janet Balis is an accomplished media executive who leads EY’s Advisory Services for the media and entertainment industry globally.  The practice works across a broad range of clients including agencies, broadcast and cable networks, cable and satellite providers, and publishers.

Immediately prior to joining EY, she worked extensively across broadcast, digital and print media at highly innovative media and technology companies.  She was a Partner at Betaworks leading their innovation lab, served as Publisher of The Huffington Post, and led Sales Strategy and Partnerships at AOL.  Previously, she worked at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Time Warner.

Janet has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Columbia University.  She is on the boards of PRX, the International Academy of Arts and Sciences, and She Runs. She also serves as an advisor to the Harvard Business School Digital Initiative.  She was named a 2018 Women to Watch by Multichannel News, a 2017 Women of Excellence by the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), a 2010 Advertising Age Women to Watch, and a 2006 Crains 40 Under 40.
